Trumpet and Flugel horn

In the 70’s David played with Teesside Symphony Orchestra, local brass bands/ensembles and a 4-piece blues outfit in Middlesbrough, eventually arriving in the deep south in ‘83. 

 

He moved on to work on blues and soul music with The Backbeat Band based around Reading area. This Band were a devoted group of musicians and had a great following and were very successful, eventually going in different directions in the early 90’s. 

 

David then joined The Chain Gang to be part of an outstanding brass section, in the last 8 years doubling on the flugelhorn to add that mellow element to some of the timeless pieces the band plays.
